I subscribe to an email list called VSL: Very Short List which sends out one recommendation per day- it might be a video, book, music- whatever- its generally pretty cool. Click on the dancer to see something so insanely simple, but addictive, I’d just rather not give away too much information.

I’ve been working on this new blog-based site for a while now, but I just took it live tonight, and there are several more pages waiting in the wings, so bear with me while I get going with it. I plan to post news and updates here about my business, Extra Large Eggs, as well as lots of my friends who have their own indy media companies- there are at least a dozen of us!

What lurks in the frost cold Arctic Ocean for this small band of intrepid explorers? 6 year old Anna Rose did the Lego design and almost all the movements. The gals here have quite the extensive Lego empire. I did the lighting and got the camera set, but she pulled a good number of the frames. The music is all in Apple Soundtrack which is just plain fun. Anna supervised the sound effects and graphics.

“Know Me,” written by Nelson Starr, was recorded Palm Sunday, 1988 by now-famous Flaming Lips producer, Dave Fridmann. The long timeĀ signature song from what was to become one of Buffalo’s most recognized modern rock groups was often saved for the last slot on the set list- this night was no exception. The tails lineup in 1991 was Nelson Starr (vocals), Eric Starr (drums), Dave Hill (bass) and Kevin Boyle (guitar) and Jeff Miers (guitar).
